PREPARING THE BRIDE | WE ARE THE CHURCH #8 | DUNCAN BELL

Ephesians 5:25-32 tells us that we are the bride of Christ, and that our bridegroom is forever patient and faithful to us, no matter how messy we are. Jesus loves us individually but also as the church and He is working in us and for us to be able to present the Church in all it's splendour.

In 1 Peter 2:9-10 it is written that the church is a united people as one chosen race, by which we are all equal to each other and co-heirs with Chrsit. We are all given the title of priest and have equal parts in God's plans of spreading the gospel.

A SPIRITUAL HOUSE | WE ARE THE CHURCH #6 | NAT PATTISON

In 1 Peter 2:4-8 Peter describes Jesus as the cornerstone and us as living stones being built into a spiritual house. Where sin once created a rift between us and God, Jesus has stepped in as the living temple, the high priest and the sacrifice, reconciling us with God. Now, as His people, we can be joined together to become a spiritual house where God fully dwells. 

A NEW FAMILY | WE ARE THE CHURCH #5 | DUNCAN BELL

In Mark 3: 31- 34 Jesus is teaching when He's told His mother and brothers are looking for Him. Yet He tells us that everyone who knows His Father is His mother, brother or sister. We long for family and close relationships and the Bible constantly teaches us of it's beauty. Jesus has come to revolutionise family and how we expereince it- all of us can know and be included in the family no matter our earthly expereince of family.

UNSHAKEABLE | DUNCAN BELL

Hebrews 12:18- 29 shows us the power of God who makes all things better than we could imagine. The stabilty of the world around us is constantly shaking and shifting but as Chrsitians we stand on a Kingdom that cannot be shaken because of Jesus. This changes how we live our lives as the blood of Jesus gives us an unrivaled steadiness and optimism with unbreakable hope and joy.

In Luke 24: 1-12 we see the women who knew Jesus return to His tomb expecting to find His body, yet He is not there for He has risen! The impact of this act has changed the world forevermore! As believers this news should impact how we live our everday every single day.

Luke 19:28-40 As Jesus enters Jerusalem the week before his death, the people celebrate that the King has come. 

FOUR BARRIERS TO FAITH | COLIN BARON

In Mark 5: 21-34 Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, comes to Jesus in faith that He can heal his sick daughter. However, on the way Jairus expereinces 4 barriers to faith, which we also struggle with ourselves today. Yet, we are encouraged to stand firm against these and keep our faith in Jesus as He is the one who can change our situations.

LOVE ONE ANOTHER | NATIONS SUNDAY | MARTIN WILLIAMS

In John 13: 34-35 Jesus commands us to love one another as He has loved us. The Old Testament has 613 laws, but the New Testament teaches that loving your neighbour as yourself is the most important of them all. We can love best by following the example of God and all that He says love is.

In Ezekiel 37:1-10 we see God restore a great army - we look at the fight the Church is in today and how we stand together to fight.
