In John 15:1-17 Jesus declares that he is ‘the true vine’, and that we are its branches. When we choose to abide in Christ, he abides in us also. Here, Martin reminds us that as the branches we are unable to be fruitful in our own strength, but if we remain in Him, we may learn how to bear fruit for His kingdom and love one another.
