At Vision Sunday we announced our Leadership Team and are now taking some time to outline our beliefs on church leadership.

In the first of two parts, Duncan looked at the whole story of God's heart for men and women. From Genesis through to Revelation, God has made us to be truly dependent on one another, called by God to work together for his mission & glory.

VISION SUNDAY - ROYAL PRIESTHOOD | DUNCAN BELL

For Vision Sunday, we reflected on some of what God has been doing in our family - new ministries, new opportunities to serve, new community and a lot of growth!

Duncan then shared the vision for our next season, of us being a church who lives and acts as a priesthood, as Peter calls us in 1 Peter 2:9. He explores what it means to be a priest in the church today and how each of us, no matter who we are, have all been given the privilege and responsibility of being priests.

Exodus 40.16-38 The pitching of the tent of the tabernacle is the final part of the story of the Exodus and through it we discover a God who is eager and excited to come and be with his people.

ISRAEL’S BETRAYAL | EXODUS #14 | ROBIN COX

Exodus 32 While Moses is on Mount Sinai receiving the law, the Israelites build themselves a god to worship in his place. In God's response to their betrayal he shows his righteous anger and surpassing mercy.

RESCUE, RULES & RELATIONSHIP | EXODUS #13 | DUNCAN BELL

Exodus 24.1-11 At Mount Sinai, Moses receives the law that the new nation of Israel are to live by. Through the covenant ceremony that follows, we see how the law for Israel is to be more than a moral code, it is the expression of deep and intimate relationship with God.

BUILDING PERSONAL ALTARS | EXODUS #12 | GOKE OLUJINMI

Exodus 20.22-26 Through God's instruction to the Israelites to build an altar, he calls them to be a people devoted to him. Through personal devotion to God, we are invited into an intimate relationship with him, and to be transformed more into the likeness of Jesus.

Isaiah 9.2-7 As we end the year, we look at how Jesus fulfilling the prophecies in Isaiah 9 shows us that in the busyness and distractions of Christmas, he really is everything we need.

Matthew 2.1-12 In the wise men falling down and worshiping Jesus, we see that when Jesus came, he came as King. Jesus came to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and to meet our deepest longings in this world.

Exodus 25.1-9 At Mount Sinai, God instructed the Israelites to build him a place so he could dwell with them. Through the tabernacle, they began to learn to be a people who long for the fullness of God's presence. During advent, we too learn to be a people who long for God's presence to come fully and completely on the earth.
